An Interview with Radio Arabica

Nabil Arbaain started with piano lessons as a child. He was told at music school later that he had to switch from piano to oud. He started taking private lessons with some of the best oud players in Damascus. At the conservatory they taught only classical music, unfortunately, but he was more interested in Eastern music. But it’s hard to survive as a musician and composer. He founded a music production company and opened a small music store in the center of Damascus….
