Nabil Arbaain

Arabic Music Institute Berlin

You will be able to explore Arabic music not only by Arabic musicians but also by musicians from different backgrounds who found their passions between the rhythms and melodies of Arabic music.

Its an intercultural joint project for children (opera for children, accompanying workshops, interactive picture book) by the musicians of the Arabic Music Institute Berlin and the Stella Maris Baroque Ensemble under the artistic direction of soprano Juliane Schubert. I supported this project as an Oud player, manager of the Arabic part of the orchestra and was responsible for managing the Arabic music arrangements.

Participation as a composer in URBAN MORPHOLOGIES with Professor Katharina Rosenberger and ensemble-mosaik.

SINGA Deutschland gUG

SINGA Deutschland connects newly arrived and local people in various social and professional programs.

I worked part-time as an organizational assistant at SINGA Germany from February 2016 up to and including May 2018. I assisted SINGA in organizing and implementing socio-cultural events ranging from small and medium-sized community events and workshops to larger presentations and concerts with over 100 guests. My tasks included sound management, stage setup and management, taking care of the international guests in different languages (English, Arabic, German), public relations (creation and distribution of flyers), transcultural communication on stage (moderation of. events), artistic contributions (solo and band concerts as an oud player in different styles) and various logistical support activities in the conception and implementation of the socio-cultural programs.
